  2. To facilitate more effective utilization of scarce resources in seeking to enhance access , mobility and quality in tertiary education;
  3. To facilitate articulation among the institutions;
  4. To facilitate the development/delivery of particular porgammes and services;
  5. To assist in identifying and meeting ongoing tertiary education needs of Guyanese in the ten Administrative regions of Guyana
We have a vision to which we aspire ie that Guyanese men and women should show respect for each other and live in harmony, actively working together and enjoying a better quality of life. In addition, it is our vision, that young people, with healthy minds, attitudes and values, should be trained and educated. It is our vision that they be empowered to provide leadership and contribute to community and national development.
